You’re Invited to Join Us for the Sixth Annual Wilmette Open Water (WOW) Swim on Saturday, June 15th!

A fully supported one-mile open water swim race in the waters of Lake Michigan, just off of Wilmette’s Gillson Beach. Each registration includes one official entry, race swim cap, event beach towel, and total bragging rights! Your timing chip, official race swim cap, and towel will be available as you check in on race morning. View the registration page for more information and to sign up for this exciting event!

When: Saturday, June 15, 2024
Time: Race starts at 7:00 a.m. All swimmers must check-in between 6:15 and 6:45 a.m. to receive chips, body marking, and your official swim cap. Water will be open by 6:45 a.m. for warm-ups.
Where: Gilson Beach House (101 Lake Ave Wilmette, IL 60091)
Cost: $70 per participant (Each registration includes one official entry, race swim cap, and event beach towel)

Please Join Us for the Ouilmette Foundation’s Fifth Annual “Back the Bowl Bash” on Saturday, June 22nd!

On Saturday, June 22nd, the Ouilmette Foundation will host its fifth summer beachfront fundraiser and the first in the Wallace Bowl in Gillson Park. The Back the Bowl Bash (formerly Beach Bash) will feature six local bands, cold drinks, dancing, local food, and plenty of FUN! All proceeds support our parks and community as we turn our attention to the Wallace Bowl, which has been largely untouched for a generation and is greatly in need of repairs. Back the Bowl Bash offers a glimpse into the future of what a wonderful community resource a renovated Wallace Bowl can be for Wilmette.
