Our Mission

Our mission is to educate, enhance and enrich our parks and community life by supporting exceptional projects in collaboration with residents, community groups and partner organizations. The Ouilmette Foundation is an independent nonprofit 501 (c)3 organization established to receive charitable gifts and donations for the benefit of programs and facilities operated by the Wilmette Park District.

The Ouilmette Foundation was incorporated in 1983 to raise funds for a complete rehabilitation and restoration of the historic Wallace Bowl, which was originally dedicated in 1946 as the Wilmette Outdoor Amphitheatre. The Foundation was revived in 2014 to fill the need for an independent group of residents to complement the Wilmette Park District’s work.
